Did anybody else forget about the time change? Sheesh. I didn’t realize I was supposed to change the clocks until the weather guy on the news this morning mentioned the sun would be rising an hour earlier than we’ve become accustomed to. 
Oddly enough, I wasn’t the silliest in the household. SoundGuy went to work an hour early. Poor guy — he gets up at 4am on Sundays to be at work for the early service. My man was up at 3am today.

Since this is supposed to be more of a writing blog, I don’t usually give a lot of detail about certain types of things that happen around my home. But since I told you all about last month’s flood and I’ve complained a time or two about the tracked-in dirt that I’m constantly mopping and sweeping, I thought it was time to let you into my world just a little further. And show you the mess I’m dealing with.

I know I promised you a wrap up of my night out with Tess … would you believe I just haven’t had time to blog? It might have something to do with the fact that my backyard now looks like one giant red clay mud puddle. SoundGuy’s trying to fix a drainage problem, and while I’m grateful it’s actually getting done, sweeping and mopping all that stupid red dirt from my kitchen floor every time SoundGuy, one of the kids, or one of the dogs comes in from the backyard is becoming tedious. Beyond tedious. And I’m doing it way too often.

That’s what my voice has sounded like today. Instead of getting better after initially losing it Friday night, it just keeps getting worse. LittleDude even looked at me this morning and asked, “Momma, why are you talking like that?”

Beyond my regular household drudgery, I’ve managed to split the day between Internet work and writing work.

I’m feeling ambitious today, so I think I’ll try and cover a couple things.
First, I updated the music in the sidebar player. Only one of the CDs has changed (and I haven’t brought it into the house and ripped it yet, so there’s no clip from that disc), but I went ahead and uploaded different songs for the others. That Slamer track over there has become one of my favorite tracks. In case you were wondering.

I know I was supposed to start posting again yesterday. What I didn’t know (until yesterday morning, that is) was SoundGuy’s employer changed from a 5-day workweek to a 4-day. And SoundGuy’s new day off is Monday.
It’s nearly impossible for me to get online when SoundGuy’s home.
