Over the weekend, I enjoyed a marathon of a television show I’m pretty fond of. During every break between episodes, the announcer said something that absolutely drove me up the wall — probably because in writing, I’m so used to watching for multiple uses of the same word.

It’s not as though I’m the grammar police or anything. Goodness knows I’ve committed a grammar faux pas or 1400 here on the blog and elsewhere in my writing. And we won’t even bring up the way I talk. But still. Presentation presented by?

I hope everybody who celebrates Thanksgiving has had a wonderful holiday. And if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, here’s hoping you’ve had an outstanding weekend.
Me, I’ve had a busy couple weeks. Dentist appointments, doctor appointments, orthodontic evaluations, soccer tournaments, scout meetings, visiting in-laws, other visiting relatives, and just a little bit of shopping thrown in to really shake things up.
The Wind and the Worms

Okay, first order of business, last week’s Messed Up Tune. Tanya and Heather had it goin’ on — last week’s tune was indeed Patrick Swayze’s “She’s Like the Wind”.
Secondly, is anybody else having problems with this stupid Stration/Warezov worm? I’m not sure if I actually have it, but CBL now has my IP listed, supposedly because of this worm. Even worse, that CBL listing was preventing me from posting to the blog. 
I swear, if it’s not one thing, it’s another. 
I guess the rest of the evening will be spent researching this stoopid worm to see how I can find out if I actually have it.

I Would Go Alienated

We’ve had a pretty big weekend. MiniMe’s soccer team has been making up games rescheduled due to weather, so I’ve spent a good bit of time sitting in the biting wind at soccer fields. It paid off today, though — MiniMe’s team tied a team who’d walked all over them the previous times they’d met. Very exciting. Too bad SoundGuy’s been sick and had to miss today’s game.

I hate to do this to y’all. SoundGuy was home the past couple days, which means it was impossible for me to get on the computer. Which means — no blog posts. I had meant to get caught up today, but an old friend contacted me and asked me to run to Birmingham with her, so off we go!
The sitter will be here in about 45 minutes, and I still have a couple things to get done before I leave.
I promise — I’ll post something decent tomorrow. Hope you had a wonderful Halloween!
BTW — Heather got this week’s Messed Up Tune correct. “Disease” by Matchbox 20.
