Five for Friday #11

I thought I’d poke my head out of my dark, dank revision cave to have a little fun. Not much, mind you, I don’t have time for that. 
But I figured a Five for Friday with my type of fun was in order.
The first five concerts I saw — as I remember, anyway. And that’s not so much a Dude, I was so wasted comment as it is a Damn, I’m getting old reference.

Deep in my revision cave. Had a great lightbulb moment yesterday on the way to pick MiniMe up from school. I think I’ve got an idea on how to fix one of the problems that editor mentioned. So I’ll probably continue to be quiet until I get this done.
BTW — got my flu shot yesterday.
Ouch.

Week in Review

But just the good stuff, I promise.
First, I have actually made headway with NaNoWriMo. Not as much as I’d like, but I did it. However, it does look like I’ll have to put it aside — and that I’ll explain later. At least I know I was capable.
Yesterday was a HUGE anniversary for me. A day known in my household as THE BIG DEAL. And one that makes SoundGuy turn to me every so often and blurt I’m so proud of you. Yesterday at 12:00pm, I was officially a non-smoker for 18 months.

Drives me nuts, actually. Especially now, since I’m supposed to be trying to finish 50,000 words by month’s end. Take a look in my left sidebar. See what I’ve completed? A whole whomping 5,000-ish words. 10%. Pathetic.

Excuses Aplenty (But Not Really)

As far as writing days go, it’s not looking like it’s going to be a very good one. The kids returned to school today after their abbreviated Fall Break (abbreviated because they got a long summer this year). Halloween was last night. And we just got home yesterday from a mini-vaca to the North Georgia Mountains. Do you know what that means? Errand City, baby! Especially when you add:
