About Lynn
When I was in second grade, a classmate and I decided to write a book. A comedic children’s story titled The Most Unusual Witch about — surprise! — a witch who couldn’t do anything right. It could have been because of her wand. All she had was a piece of cooked spaghetti that flopped around her hand whenever she tried to cast a spell.
We had a lot of fun planning that story, but I don’t remember how much of it we actually wrote. I’d give anything to get my hands on that manuscript again.
That was writing for the fun of it. For the pure enjoyment only a child can find.
After the birth of my second child, I started writing again after a long break. But this time it wasn’t solely for fun. Some of it was necessary creative release; the majority of it was for entirely different reasons.
Self defense.
Self preservation.
Sanity.
Sanity still eludes me, but I have rediscovered the enjoyment. Writing for the love of writing.
There are many other things I love, too: photography, reading, music, crochet, and my husband insists I buy way too many DVDs. In rare bits of free time, my family and I love to explore the North Georgia Mountains (great photography opportunities there!), hiking or enjoying some of the other activities available near our North Georgia home.
