It’s time for our weekly Messed Up Tune! But first, an update.
Rocky’s still down, but SoundGuy’s ordered a new hard drive and other things to bring him back to life. Now we’re just down to the waiting.
If you’ve recently tried to contact me through my lynndaniels.com e-mail, please know I’m not ignoring you. […]

Since I hadn’t received any “blue” hints blatant enough for even me to recognize, I opted to work on entering the newest scenes in my FDi30D scene capsule worksheets yesterday afternoon. That’s when Rocky started making odd noises. I kind of thought he was protesting the work…maybe getting upset that I wasn’t working […]

The universe was definitely trying to tell me something.
I climb into my truck this morning to take the kids to school, and after I start the engine, the first song that plays through my speakers is a cover of a song originally done by Pink.

It’s amazing how motivating organization can be!
I finally got my corkboards up this afternoon (yes, I had to buy more), and pinned most of my index cards to them. I took a step back to admire my work once I’d finished, and saw quite an array of color. But there was one thing […]

Certain things in life can always be counted on.
If you’re in a hurry to get somewhere, the slowest driver in creation will pull ahead of you on the road.
If you wash your car, it’s going to rain.
These days, it’s almost guaranteed that the price of gas will be higher on your way home from work […]

Looks like I just need to come to terms with the fact I won’t be making it to the computer until late in the day to enter my posts. So even though it’s late, here’s today’s Messed Up Tune. There are some giveaway phrases in this one, but I’ve put so many songs […]

I’m sitting at my new little desk, on my new little chair, in my writing cubby. Yes, Rocky now has a place to sit that’s not the floor.
We picked up a desk the other day at Office Max, and yesterday I got it put together. Gotta say I’m pretty proud of […]

I woke up sick today.
And since I’m sick (read: avoiding my household chores and vegging on the couch in front of TiVo’d episodes of Smallville), I want to play a little.
I got this idea while reading agent Kristin Nelson’s blog, Pub Rants (just found it this morning).

Funny how things can do a complete about-face so quickly and without much warning. It wasn’t so long ago that I was taking weekends off from writing in order to avoid another writing burnout. Now it’s the exact opposite. This weekend, I took a break from unpacking and cleaning and laundry (Ha! […]

Happy Easter, everybody!
I’ve just finished helping my kids find the eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny, and now I’m going to watch them going into a sugar coma.
Whether you celebrate religiously or non-religiously or not at all, I hope you have a wonderful day.

To learn, that is. Or at least to have truth and reality smack you hard upside the head.
To that old adage You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, I say, “Bah!”
While I was unpacking last night, I came upon a box of stuff from our old desk. I sat down to go […]

…yeah, right.
Gotta love modern technology!
But yes, I’m finally back online, and finally able to post again. Now all I have to do is actually find the time to do it. This moving thing really sucks! But enough whining — I’m back.
I hope.
