But just the good stuff, I promise.
First, I have actually made headway with NaNoWriMo. Not as much as I’d like, but I did it. However, it does look like I’ll have to put it aside — and that I’ll explain later. At least I know I was capable.
Yesterday was a HUGE anniversary […]

(shamelessly lifted from Lisa Kleypas’ keynote speech at the 2007 RWA National conference)
…it has no plot.
…the main character probably has no name.
…the main character is probably dead.
…the main relationship isn’t really a relationship, but a symbol for something else.
…the ending is completely unsatisfying.
…the book took six years to write.
…the cover is beige with a motif […]

I’m still reading and highlighting Body Language by Julius Fast. It’s my reward for finally subbing IH.
That’s almost sick, isn’t it? My reward for finishing a book is research.
ANYHOO….I’m about halfway through — probably would’ve been done by now if I hadn’t stopped to read that Baby Blues book. My dilemma […]

Let’s review my past few days.
I submitted IH Friday and promptly wanted to hurl. Saturday and Sunday, MiniMe had a soccer tournament about a 45 minute drive away. Two games Saturday — they tied the first game, won the second. They had a third game on Sunday, but MiniMe woke up and […]

MiniMe’s soccer season’s already starting. No games yet, but she’s already having practices. And homework. She had soccer homework. She had to run a timed 1.5 miles before Monday’s practice. Of course, that meant we were driving around looking for a place to run on Monday.
Nothing like waiting until the […]

I just joined Shelfari to connect with other book lovers. Come see the books I love and see if we have any in common. Then pick my next book so I can keep on reading.

Yesterday, I finally got around to watching last week’s episode of TNT’s Heartland starring Treat Williams. Anyone else watching this show? I’m still unsure about it — I’ve seen three episodes and I’m not entirely sure if I’ll keep watching.
Especially after last week’s episode.
I hate shows that kill kids. Babies in particular. […]

Some time ago, I got an old friend hooked on the Dark Hunters. After she’d gone all the way through the entire series, she came over one day and thanked me.
Sarcastically.
Huh?

First thing’s first…the lovely Kimberly Holt-Whitlock did have the Messed Up Tune correct. Breathe by Faith Hill.
Apologies for not coming back and posting this sooner, but I gotta tell ya. Posting from our main house computer is a pain in the neck. And I mean that literally. We still haven’t found […]

Since I promised a happy post, I sat and brainstormed subjects this morning. What could I write about that was happy? Nothing exciting has happened to me lately — other than some great dreams — and then it came to me as I jotted down some tweaking notes for SR.
Comfort.
We all need it […]

I just finished Sherrilyn Kenyon’s new addition to the Dark Hunter series, Unleash the Night. Another name has been added to my “Fictional Characters to Lust After” list.
Wren Tigarian.
Yum.
Just thought I’d share.

I’m trying to get caught up, so I hope you’ll pardon the multiple posts. Since I was out of town, I didn’t get to post a reminder. I’ll do it now.
GET THEE TO Ellora’s Cave AND BUY YOUR COPY OF BETHANY’S RITE BY EVE JAMESON (one of my CPs) NOW!
I feel better now. […]

I was a baaaaad girl yesterday. (No, Yankeebob, this isn’t my “Freak” post ). Woke up, and my workout buddy called to let me know she wouldn’t be able to workout with me. “But,” she said, “since you’re up, you can go!” I hung up, thought about it, rolled over, and […]
