Just Keep Swimming

I seem to be doing a reference thing with my post titles lately. Not sure what’s up with that, but at least I’m not sitting around forever thinking Huh. What the hell am I going to call this one?

I’ve been working on and off all day, and have made a large portion of my edits. See the new progress bar down on the left? Over 50% complete already! That accounted for all the easy edits (word replacement, really strange typos, word deletions and additions), and now I’m left with the stuff that’s going to take some actual thought. Edits where my notes say things like A little stiff. Can we remove the stick? and Hate this line. and This is a very distant paragraph. See if we can’t make it deeper and more immediate. The tougher stuff.

So that’s what I’m off to do now. The tough stuff. Procrastination break over. Time to get back to work. So once again, I’m on the breeze.

Dishes Are DONE, Man!

I thought I could, and I did! Round 2 edit marking on IH is DONE as of about 3 minutes ago!

Next, I have to enter the last handful of edits onto my spreadsheet, then it’s time to start actually making the edits.

Progress, baby. PRO-GRESS!

I’ve gotta go. I’m so stoked about my progress that I’m not willing to stop yet. I wonder how far I can get on edits before I collapse from exhaustion?

UPDATE 1:26AM: Spreadsheet complete! Time to start making changes to the ms.

Check out that IH progress meter, y’all! Notice the change? See it? See it? Right now, it should either be reading almost done or Round 2 Edit Marking: 2nd Pass. You know what that means? I’ve been working on my edits! And making progress! I’m rockin’!

Big Head, Little Arms

The bad news is I disappeared because, once again, I got sick. One of those miserable can’t breathe, head wants to explode, every joint aches kinda sicks.

The good news is I’m much better now.

Even better news — it’s an anniversary for me. I had my last cigarette nine months ago yesterday. Today is nine months of full days as a non-smoker.
