Got Gas?

Got Gas?

Things may be looking up gas-wise here in North Georgia. During today’s shopping trip, three of the six gas stations I passed had gas. Even better than that — NO LINES! We’re still paying more (by $0.30/gallon) than the national average, but I was actually able to fill up, so I call that a good day.

The local news is reporting suppliers not licensed in Georgia are now able to sell gasoline to stations here, and the pipeline supplying us is up. The gas in the pipeline will take 5-6 days to get here, but it’s a positive sign. As long as it’s true. I’m keeping in mind that when this first started, officials reported our shortage would only last 3-4 days. Here it is 3 weeks later and they’re giving us a new story.

Still, it’s good news after a couple weeks of not-so-good news.

More good news — I’m still playing the Grocery Game. Today I paid $61 on a $104 grocery bill, and I’m stocked for fabric softener and air freshener. Plus, one of our local drugstores is sending me a $10 gift card and a $16 check, and that’s after just 2 weeks of shopping.

Ooh, and the weather’s cooled again, so my windows are open. Love that!

Yup, it’s a pretty good day today. How’s your day?

I got to the site, clicked to check the red cards, and nearly fell out of my seat laughing when I saw this unfortunate abbreviation for Arsenal:
