Digging into the Treasure Chest

I mentioned that I spent some time with Tess last Friday night. Of course, we always have fun, but this past Friday was a little different. No bar, no loud rock n’ roll, no really old guys trying to pick us up. The plan was to hang out in Tess’s living room and do a little brainstorming and writing stuff. So, like a good little girl, along with the snacks, I brought my SR binder (SR’s been giving me a bit of a fit. I think I know why, but I still need to figure out how to overcome it. *making notes to discuss this in a future post*).
But Friday night, for me, was A Night of Treasures.

Last week, my RWA Conference CDs arrived. I love it when my CDs arrive. It’s like Christmas. I get excited. Giddy, even. And I can’t wait to bust into the envelope. Can’t wait to crack open the case. Yank the CDs out and pop them into Frankie. And listen to the workshops I missed because I once again couldn’t take the time away from my family to attend the Big Show.
It wasn’t until yesterday that I could sit down and start listening to those workshops. Having motivation problems? Try listen to a couple publisher spotlights.
